Description
A primitive (aka "cute, country-ish") needle felted sheep. Her name is Betsy. She's my first attempt at needle felting, which is a dry technique that involves poking wool with thin, barbed needles. I had so much fun doing this! I have a feeling that there will be more of this sort of thing in my future.
The background is knit out of an off-white light sport weight wool. Betsy's body is a mohair/wool blend, spun with a cotton thread with seed beads on it. Her face is a wool/mohair/acrylic blend.
She's going to be an entry for the wall of art at the etsy labs. I hope they give her a good home. [link]
